The rooms were outdated with stained carpeting and a stale smell. We were so concerned with the condition of the rooms that we pulled back the sheets to check for bedbugs and found a urine stained mattress. We thought we could flip it over but the underside was even worse than the top. When we spoke to the front desk we were given excuses about why the rooms were so different than the ones posted on their website. We were told it is because we booked a triple room, but when we showed them the picture of the beautiful triple rooms listed on their site the story changed to there being a large tour group and those rooms were no longer available. We were promised one thing and received something completely inferior. It seems as if the hotel acquired a neighboring building and that is where we were placed. We weren't even in the Hotel Traube Rudesheim but that is what we paid for. |
