The floor was rotten wood and grimy PVC, the curtains wouldn?t close, and leaks dripped down the hall. I woke at 3 AM covered in itchy red bites, convinced they were crawling all over me. I spent days back home quarantining and sanitizing every single thing I own just to stop these monsters from hitching a ride into my house. The staff shrugged when I complained. No apologies. "JUST WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME " ( The staff does not care) This place isn?t ?just dirty??it?s a health hazard. If you value your sanity, your skin, and your stuff, book ANYWHERE else. This hotel is a horror show YOU do NOT want to experience. |

The rooms were, with 30 degrees outside, hotter than the fires of Mount Doom. No ventilation or good old Sam to save us, housekeeping just told us when asked for a fan that 'The rooms are already very cold.' Upon asking why some rooms did get a fan and other rooms didn't the orcs of housekeeping began gossiping with the reception behind our back. Sadly Dutch people understand German. Their behaviour would not pass! And the monsters, the horror, the horror. Bed bugs as big as Shelob had bitten us, although Astoria found no evidence of the bugs besides 4 people with inexplainable spots. Shrunk cloths, itching and red legs struck us on the last days of our quest. But our journey would not end here. The guardian of the black gate of Astoria did nearly not look at us upon arrival and by telling us that 'the breakfast was over there' or as two of our fellowship had heard him say 'breakfast is included', we twice ate a breakfast which costed 15 euros per person. When some of our Melons refused to pay up that mouth of Sauron threatened to call the police. But that is not for them to decide. We have an ever-watching Eye, we see into their void. We see their receptionists sleeping, but we did not even recall the smell of fresh towels anymore. We paid quite a lot of money for this place compared to other inns in Middle Earth. We have never complained before and normally we do not like that victimous Frodoesque behaviour. Yet while I touch the red bites on my shoulder I realise 'Alas! there are some wounds that cannot be wholly cured'. |

Das Hotel war der schlimmste Horror!!! Es war eklig, dreckig & stinkend Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer gebucht & das sah gar nicht so aus wie auf den Bildern. Die Vorhänge waren dreckig. Die weissen Bettlaken waren voller punkte. Wir hatten uns nichts dabei gedacht. Am morgen früh kamen plötzlich die Bettwanzen hervor. Daraufhin haben wir uns angezogen & direkt zur Rezeption. Der Mann tat sehr überrascht & wollte unser Geld nicht zurückgeben aber dafür ein anderes Zimmer. Wir gaben diesem Hotel nochmals eine Chance & in der Nacht kamen die BETTWANZEN wieder hervor & wir haben unsere Sachen um 01:00 Uhr gepackt & mussten um diese Zeit noch ein Hotel suchen. NIE WIEDER!!! BITTE NIEMALS DORTHIN GEHEN. |

Wir haben dem Hotel noch eine Chance gegeben und anschliessend sind wir mitten in der Nacht gegangen, weil das Zimmer noch mehr BETTWANZEN hatte! Unglaublich wie man Gäste so in diesen Zimmern übernachten lassen kann. Ausserdem waren die Zimmer dreckig, verschimmelt und zum Teil Kapputt. Das hat leider meine Reise nach Stuttgart echt verdorben. NICHT WEITER ZU EMPFEHLEN! Ich habe alle meine Klamotten weggeworfen, weil ich keine Bettwanzen nach Hause nehmen wollte. |

Tout d'abord, les photos de la chambre réservée en ligne ne reflétaient pas du tout la réalité. À mon arrivée, j'ai été choqué par la qualité médiocre de la chambre qui était loin de correspondre aux images alléchantes présentées sur le site. En plus de cela, dès la première nuit, j'ai été attaqué par des puces de lit, ce qui a rendu mon séjour insupportable. Non seulement l'hygiène de l'hôtel laisse clairement à désirer, mais le personnel n'a pas été capable de résoudre le problème de manière adéquate malgré mes plaintes répétées. De plus, le manque de considération de l'hôtel envers ses clients est flagrant, car aucune compensation ou geste commercial n'a été offert pour compenser les désagréments subis. Je déconseille fortement à quiconque de séjourner dans cet établissement, car il est évident que la qualité des chambres et le bien-être des clients ne sont pas une priorité pour eux |

When I called into the front desk (on my cell - there's no phones in the rooms) the front desk pretended not to speak English. I had to have the work travel agent call on my behalf to get someone up. When someone did come up he looked at the bed bug in the cup on the bed and said "it's just one! It's fine! It won't cause any problems!" And tried to laugh it off. He offered no real assistance. I ended up leaving my suitcase and anything I didn't think I could wash on high heat - my leather boots, my wool jacket, a cashmere scarf - in the room. I went home and have been laundering af 75C and hoping for the best since. Anyways the bed bug's hide in room 104 is the bathroom toilet seat cover holder. Don't hide your stuff in the bathrooms! |
